The men swam morning and afternoon sessions yesterday, then wrapped up with a morning session today, and then women will swim this afternoon and tomorrow. FSU Commit Clark Downs 100 Fly Record at Nebraska Boys' States

March 4, 2020— The Creighton Prep boys swam to victory at the Nebraska Boys’ High School State Championships. Senior Rush Clark raced to a new Meet Record in prelims of the 100 fly, setting a lifetime best 47.21. He went on to win the final in 47.74. Clark, an FSU commit, put up a lifetime best 49.11 in the 100 back prelims. He won that race as well with a 49.54.

March 6, 2020— The 2020 men’s Pac-12 Championships continue Friday morning with prelims of the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, and 100 back. Cal’s top seed Trenton Julian has scratched out of the 400 IM, leaving teammate Hugo Gonzalez as the new top seed going in. Stanford’s Grant Shoults (#12) also scratched the event. Both will swim the 200 free instead, where Julian is the 3rd seed and Shoults is #10. Cal’s Zheng Quah has scratched from his 5th seed in the 100 back and 6th seed in the 200 free.

March 5, 2020— Beata Nelson stormed to the win in this event last year, erasing every record to become the fastest female 100-yard backstroker in history (by a long shot). She won this event by almost an entire second, a gigantic win for the now-senior at Wisconsin. Nelson returns as favorite again with clear water behind her; she’s the only swimmer under 50 seconds this year at 49.70, and all signs point to another victory for her.
