She’s currently back home in Washington state, where she’ll remain through the summer to train for the Olympic Trials. Due to COVID-19, Carlton should have two years of eligibility remaining with Tennessee. It’s not yet clear if the SEC will waive the one-year competition penalty for an intra-conference transfer, though they have recently done so on a case-by-case basis , with football players in particular. July 12, 2020 — The University of Tennessee has received a new verbal pledge for their growing class of 2025 from Jordan Crooks of George Town, Cayman Islands. He will join current Carmel Swim Club teammates and in Knoxville in the fall of 2021. He told A talented sprinter, Crooks does his club swimming with Camana Bay Aquatic Club and most recently won six events at the Cayman Island National Championships. Swimming in his future home pool, he finaled in two events at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Knoxville back in January.

March 30, 2020 — American Athletic Conference (AAC) Champion Kristen Stege will transfer to the University of Tennessee after a breakout freshman season at East Carolina University. Stege made headlines in February when she won the AAC title and broke the conference record in her first-ever attempt at the 1650 yard freestyle. March 5, 2020 — Erika Brown has had an incredible rise over her four-year career at Tennessee. After being a relay-only swimmer at the NCAA Championships as a freshman, the Lady Vol broke out as a sophomore, winning three individual SEC titles and placing second at NCAAs in the 50 free and 100 fly. After anchoring the Vols to a national title in the 200 medley relay at last season’s NCAAs to go along with three top-five finishes individually, Brown helped lead the school to its first Women’s SEC Championship win.
