Fratus, 30, was slow off the blocks in finals tonight, out-racing his Coral Springs teammate Renzo Tjon-a-Joe (22.39), who represents Suriname internationally. Fratus swam a 21.97 this morning, which is two tenths slower than his season best of 21.7 from January. Fratus is one of the top sprinters in the world and is certainly a favorite to win a medal in Tokyo this summer for Brazil.
