Five student-athletes from three institutions were honored with Big 12 Swimming & Diving weekly awards. Texas’ Carson Foster and West Virginia’s David Dixon were men’s co-swimmers of the week while the Longhorns’ Olivia Bray was selected women’s swimmer of the week. WVU’s PJ Lenz and Iowa State’s Michelle Schlossmacher Smith were named the divers of the week.

NC State’s Kylee Alons has been named ACC Women’s Swimmer of the Week and North Carolina’s Aranza Vazquez has been named Diver of the Week. Louisville’s Mitchell Whyte has been selected as the ACC Men’s Swimmer of the Week and teammate Daniel Pinto has been named Diver of the Week. The Missouri Valley Conference has approved a move of their 2020-2021 women’s swimming & diving conference championship meet to mid-April, multiple of the conference’s coaches have told SwimSwam. The exact dates have not yet been finalized, though at a coaches’ meeting, the dates of April 21-24 were discussed. The conference still intends to hold the meet at member school Southern Illinois University, which was announced earlier this year after hosting at non-member University of Missouri in the last 2 seasons. The University of Florida men’s swimming and diving team and head coach Anthony Nesty has officially announced the addition of Mateusz Dubas , who will join the Gators for the 2020-21 season. La Salle University head swimming and diving coach Jamie Platt announced his resignation on Monday, after accepting the position of executive director at Middle Atlantic Swimming. Former Texas swimmer Claire Adams announced her retirement from competitive swimming, as reported by . Adams had just finished her senior year at the University of Texas where she was unable to finish her collegiate career at the NCAAs due to the coronavirus pandemic cancelling the championships. Representatives from the Texas men’s and women’s programs have swept the 2019-20 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Of the Year Awards, as voted on by the league’s head coaches. For the Longhorn men it was their sixth consecutive sweep of the awards and 14th in program history, while the women accomplished the feat for the fourth straight year and fifth time in school history. The NCAA Divison I Council has voted to grant a year of eligibility to Division I student-athletes who compete in spring sports after a mass cancellation by the organization in early March, but it did not approve the same relief for winter sports athletes. Walker Davis , who hails from Charlottesville, Virginia, has announced his verbal commitment to the University of North Carolina’s class of 2025. A junior at Albemarle High School and 2-time NISCA All American, Davis won the 100 back (48.63) and was runner-up in the 50 free (20.51) at the 2020 Virginia High School Class 5A State Swimming and Diving Championships. After 25 seasons at the University of Notre Dame, head diving coach Caiming Xie announced his retirement. The University of Florida’s home O’Connell Center Pool is being renamed the Anne Marie Rogers Swimming and Diving Pool after a $1 million gift to Florida athletics from swimming alum Veronica Meinhard and her wife Kristina M. The Pac-12 Conference announced the recipients of the 2020 Pac-12 Women’s Swimming and Diving awards, as voted on by the league coaches. USC Trojans Louise Hansson was named the Pac-12 Swimmer of the Year and Dave Salo was voted Pac-12 Swimming Coach of the Year.
