The Pac-12 announced its Winter Academic Honor Roll recipients on Tuesday, with a total of 152 swimmers and divers being recognized from eight different teams. Overall there were 304 student-athletes receiving the honor, which requires them to hold a spot on their respective team roster, have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above, and have served at least one year in residence at the institution. There is no longer a selection process to determine all-academic teams for each sport. The Stanford women led the way for swimming & diving with 18 making the cut, while the Cardinal men had 12. ...

The 2020 Pac-12 Men’s Championships opened its final night with Saturday’s finals session from Federal Way, Washington. Cal had a strong fourth day and lead by more than 150 points heading into the final day. Dave Durden ‘s Golden Bears put 12 in the finals Saturday night as they close in on the Pac-12 title. It also marks the final Pac-12 Championship meet day for USC coach Dave Salo , who is s tepping down after the season.

Texas A&M sophomore Shaine Casas , fresh off an SEC Championships where he won two individual titles, swam a 3:37.59 in the 400 IM at the American Short Course Championships in Austin, Texas. Casas moved himself up to 14th all-time in the 400 IM SCY with his swim and he is now second this season in Division I behind only Kieran Smith of Florida (3:37.31). Casas moved ahead of Conor Dwyer (3:37.75) on the all-time list in the 400 IM. His best time before this year was a 3:42 at last year’s American Short Course Championships.

Results (PDF) No. 2 CALIFORNIA earned five Pac-12 titles on day three of the 2020 Pac-12 Men’s Swimming Championship, positioning the Bears in first in the Conference title race with a score of 576. No. 10 ARIZONA STATE sits in second with 414 and No. 13 ARIZONA is in third with 387.

Measured by national championships, national awards and Olympics success, the Pac-12 Conference has one of the most impressive legacies in collegiate swimming. Pac-12 schools own nearly a third of all NCAA Division I titles, with 25 NCAA team titles, and lead the nation with the most members to have won a team NCAA title with five (California, Arizona, Stanford, UCLA and USC).

The Golden Bears have repeated at Pac-12 Champions, winning their second straight title tonight. Cal was absolutely dominant on the final night of the 2019 Men’s Pac-12 Swimming and Diving.
