Connor Elwyn , a senior at Wenatchee High School and a member of Velocity Swimming in East Wenatchee, Washington, has announced his commitment to swim for the University of Utah beginning in the fall of 2020. A backstroker and IMer, Elwyn will get two years to train with NCAA ‘B’ cut backstroker David Fridlander . At the 2020 Washington 4A High School State Championship meet, Elwyn took 5th place in the 200-yard freestyle (1:41.41) and was the 100-yard backstroke champion (49.53), making him a back-to-back champion in the event. The Pac-12 announced its Winter Academic Honor Roll recipients on Tuesday, with a total of 152 swimmers and divers being recognized from eight different teams. Overall there were 304 student-athletes receiving the honor, which requires them to hold a spot on their respective team roster, have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above, and have served at least one year in residence at the institution. There is no longer a selection process to determine all-academic teams for each sport. The Stanford women led the way for swimming & diving with 18 making the cut, while the Cardinal men had 12. ...

Measured by national championships, national awards and Olympics success, the Pac-12 Conference has one of the most impressive legacies in collegiate swimming. Pac-12 schools own nearly a third of all NCAA Division I titles, with 25 NCAA team titles, and lead the nation with the most members to have won a team NCAA title with five (California, Arizona, Stanford, UCLA and USC).
